About
Christopher Robin just moved to London from his house in the country and misses his former home. Despite a new friend knocking on the door and asking him to play, Christopher Robin prefers to shut himself in and not play with anyone. His father, A.A. Milne, has another plan and tells him the story of a bear named Winnie-the-Pooh living in the Hundred Acre Wood. These stories of friendship and adventure inspire a change in perspective, an opportunity for play, and a new friendship to bloom in the city.

Stage Manager & Props Design – Kristen Seavey
Kristen (she/her) is excited to be a part of her second Maddy's Theatre production after starting at CMTM with Red Riding Hood this past summer. She holds a degree in Music Education and Euphonium Performance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has taught music, art, and theater for over 12 years. Her favorite A. A. Milne character is Tigger, who was added to the 100 Acre Woods crew in 1928.
Assistant Stage Manager – Merritt Holman
Merritt (she/her) is a Junior at Deering High School in Portland Maine. She has been with CMTM since she was a young child and is now thrilled to be on the Maddys Theatre Team again for Winnie-The-Pooh! Merritt recently appeared as a playwright in the Youth Playwright Festival. She also worked as Assistant Stage Manager or Deck Captain for Blueberries For Sal, Snow in the Jungle, Three Little Kittens, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Jack and Phill Slayer of Giants Inc., Gruff and so many more over the past few years at CMTM!
Sound Design – Sam Rapaport
Sam is delighted to return as your sound designer for Winnie-the-Pooh. If you saw Gruff!, Blueberries for Sal, or Frog & Toad, then you've heard his work! This time around he wanted to blend the line between pre recorded and live sound effects. Can you guess which ones are played by real people and which ones are digital?
Puppet Design – Brie Roche
Brie (She/Her) is so thrilled to be helping bring Christopher Robin's friends to life in Winnie-the Pooh. Brie has been both on and off the stage at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, most recently playing Piggie in Elephant and Piggie’s: We are in a Play, and tried her hand at costume designing in last fall's production of Go, Dog. Go! Her favorite A.A Milne Character is Eeyore, and even dressed as him for Halloween back in 2020. When not at Maddy’s, you can find Brie at the Osher Map Library, teaching K12 students all over Maine how to use primary sources to study history.
Production Manager & Set Design – Emily M. Dixon
Emily is thrilled to be a part of the fourth season in Maddy's Theatre. As production manager, Emily has a hand in every production but is particularly proud of directing Dragons Love Tacos (2022) and Gruff: An Epic Fairytale Eco-Musical (2023), and the 2020 CMTM production of Elephant & Piggie, where she played Gerald. Outside of the theater, Emily enjoys writing fiction novels, kayaking, and working in the garden with her wife. She has slept with a stuffed Eeyore almost every night since she was eight years old. This season is dedicated to Sara, Linda, David, Maddy, and Rusty.
