Frederick: Opening Night!

  • The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine 250 Thompson's Point Road Portland, ME 04102 (map)

To the delight of some and the envy of others, Frederick has his head in the clouds while the rest of his mouse family collects seeds, nuts, and berries for winter. When the darkest days of winter finally arrive and the mice have exhausted their supplies and stories, it is Frederick who has stored up something special to save the day. Featuring a hummable score, Frederick is an “enchanting” (Chicago Reader), “charming and poignant” (Chicago Tribune) new musical for youth and family audiences about friendship, community, and the restorative power of the arts.

Ideal for ages 2-9 and their families. Tickets are $15 per person for adults and children.

A musical from the book by Leo Lionni. Book by Suzanne Maynard Miller. Music and lyrics by Sarah Durkee and Paul Jacobs.

Produced with permission from Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, IL

The actors featured in Frederick are fully vaccinated and will be performing the show without a face covering. The actors will maintain a 3 foot distance from the first row of audience seating. All crew, technicians and ushers will wear masks.
