The Girl Who Swallowed A Cactus: Member's Show

  • The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine 250 Thompson's Point Road Portland, ME 04102 (map)

Sheila has one whole summer to create the perfect fort, and she has four amazing friends to help her do it. When topping their fantastical junk castle with a magical object, they find themselves transported into the scorched desert, facing a series of dangerous challenges from the Council of Howls, the Sting Brigade, and the Death Cactus itself. Through storytelling and found object puppetry, this play explores the relationship between wild animals and the humans that encroach on their lands. How can we share the planet? How can we take the mission to save the world ourselves? The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus is a one person tour-de-force of imagination, storytelling and magic.

Produced by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company INC. of Woodstock, IL.
