About

The greatest actor in the world, Wolfgang, is about to perform his solo “Extravaganza” theatre piece-- but is rudely interrupted by a delivery person with a mysterious package. Can you imagine delivering a package to the greatest actor in the world and becoming part of the performance? The delivery person dons a red beanie, and the show goes on!

The two actors tackle all the characters in this fast, funny, and surprising retelling of the classic story. This Red is courageous, clever, and talented, thwarting any dinner plans a wolf might have. Like an unexpected package, when you open up a fairy tale, you never know what you’re going to find.

Tickets | $18

The Theatre lobby opens 30 minutes prior to each show, and the doors to the theatre open 20 minutes prior to showtime. Tickets to theatre shows are non-refundable and transferable pending space and availability in other performances.

Matthew Butcher plays Wolfgang

Matthew (he/him) is thrilled to be returning to Maddy's Theatre for this exhilarating production! He is proud to be a member of the Maddy's Theatre acting company, having performed in Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical (Dad) and The Neverending Story (Father/Ygramul/Engywook) as well as the Youth Playwright Festival. One of his favorite folktales from childhood would have to be The Three Little Pigs. In fact, the first role he ever played was The Big Bad Wolf in his first grade class's production of "The Three Piggy Opera" so this show feels like visiting an old friend. He is dedicating this performance to his own grandmother who passed away shortly before rehearsals began. He would like to thank his fiancé and family for their unending support, and the incredible team that has collaborated so beautifully to bring this show to life.
