Come experience the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine during a low-key, inclusive playtime for children with sensory integration challenges. Play in our exhibits during a quiet time and meet other families from the community. This is the perfect time for families affected by Autism, Down syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, PTSD or other challenges to try out the Museum & Theatre. Noise-reducing headphones will also be available and Museum & Theatre Educators will be available to support your family. Only a limited number of visitors will be admitted to ensure a calm and welcoming play environment. 

This month, we’ll welcome Officer Coreena from the Portland Police Department. Officer Coreena will play alongside your family, answer questions about how to talk to your child about interacting with police, and serve as a positive introduction to community helpers in a warm and inviting environment.
