All great inventions come from solving a problem. In the midst of social distancing, we need to find ways to reach other people without getting too close--and building a catapult for kindness is one way to do that. Join educator Brittany Liscord each Friday to work through the stages of engineering to design, build, modify, and share your catapult creations. Use your catapult for launching splatter art, friendly notes, or other silly and safe objects. This project is ideal for K to adults and materials can be as simple as rubber bands and cardboard. Build a catapult on your own or work together with your family. Catapult online challenge supports certain K-3 Maine Learning Results for Science and Engineering (Next Generation Science Standards). Today we’ll test our catapults, and then work on fixing problems!
