MakerSpace: A workshop for open-ended creation!

  • The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine 250 Thompsons Point Rd Portland, ME, 04102 United States (map)

MakerSpace

This space is designed for Makers!  Become a Maker as you tinker, draw, make a sculpture, or engineer something new.

Upon entering the Makerspace, you are invited to explore the bins and tables for materials and art supplies. You may find soft textiles, bendy wire, and a large variety of objects that creatively promote reuse and sustainability.

Our workbenches feature rotating projects, from global cardboard challenges to specialized design options and recurring opportunities to learn how to use wood and hand tools with a Makerspace staff member.

Tools may include screwdrivers, drills, hammers, and sometimes even saws!

Grown-up supervision is required in the MakerSpace.
