Science for Tots: Sensory Snow Time

  • The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine 250 Thompsons Point Rd Portland, ME, 04102 United States (map)

Join us for the Science for Tots series! This is a weekly program designed for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Each week experience a different activity based on the theme of the month.

This month, we explore the winter season. Observe changing temperatures as we make ice castles, piece together a snowman in a snowman sensory bin, and create a peppermint fizzing experiment. Classes this month are on Wednesdays, 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, and 1/31.

During Science for Tots, we meet young children where they are by introducing them to STEM concepts like science, engineering, math, and the environment through rich sensory experiences. Sign up for one week or multiple weeks to meet new families and make new friends. Included with admission. Registration Required.

Note: Science for Tots requires the caregiver and child/children to attend the session together. Limited capacity to ensure materials and staff-to-participant ratio.

Reserve Tickets:

Science for Tots reservations include 10 am - 1 pm museum visit tickets. Additional reservations are not necessary. Signed-in members are able to reserve Science for Tots tickets for their full member admission discount (free!).
