Grateful for YOU this Season!
You make belonging possible.
In this season of Gratitude, the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine (CMTM) would like to extend a message of thanks to you, our incredible community.
Every day CMTM strives to be a safe and supportive place for learning and play where everyone belongs. From singular interactions to broad initiatives, this has been a year of incredible success, continuous growth, and joyful possibility.
In the first year at the new Thompson’s Point facility, CMTM:
Welcomed 161,158 visitors,
Hosted 1,800 public school students, and
Offered scholarship memberships to 850 families.
Over 30% of these visitors were able to attend thanks to access initiatives supported by CMTM’s Community Fund.
Generous contributions from community members like you to the Community Fund have helped enable the Museum & Theatre to say “Welcome!” time and time again. Whether you were a one-time visitor, theatre go-er, member, staff, or community partner, your admission price, membership, ticket purchase, and donations helped make a difference.
Looking Ahead to the Future
In 2023, CMTM’s goals are to:
Welcome over 200,000 guests, with over 75,000 visiting as part of our belonging initiatives.
Award over 1,000 scholarship memberships through donor support.
Offer free or reduced admission to over 24,000 visitors.
Host 5,400 visitors from Maine schools with significantly reduced admission.
And so much more!
By continuing to work together to sustain necessary financial support for programming, inclusion and diversity efforts, creative place-making, immersive learning, and community outreach, we will grow CMTM for years to come.
Thank you for helping to continue to build a diverse and welcoming community and facility, enabling our team to say to anyone who visits, “You belong.”
With gratitude,
The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine
