This is a unique opportunity for tweens to develop their skills as actors and performers with a group of like-minded theatre kids. In early spring, we are imagining our theatre as Sherwood forest and exploring the epic tales of the hero Robin Hood. Tweens will work with monologues and scenes from the play The Outlaw Robin Hood by Moses Goldberg, emphasizing the ethical dilemma that led to Robin Hood's heroic appeal: what were the genuine circumstances that led to a life of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor? Designed for ages 9-12. Note: All text will be at an approximate 4th-grade reading level.
If your child has an interest in performing in a more professional setting, consider auditioning for an intergenerational production. Email theatre@kitetails.org or sign up for the Maddy's Theatre Newsletter for more information about our professional casting calls.
