Calling all kids to the kitchen! Join CMTM for six weeks of culinary exploration as we use food to explore the world around us. Conduct food experiments such as finding the fluffiest pancakes, discovering a new side of stories such as Dragons Love Tacos as you make tortillas, and even creating a unique recipe book to take home. Kids will have the option to try the foods that they make during the afterschool experience. Please note any dietary restrictions, sensitivities, or allergies when you sign up, and we will ensure that your child has safe snacking options. Designed for ages 5-7.

This is a unique opportunity for tweens to develop their skills as actors and performers with a group of like-minded theatre kids as we explore Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The Tempest is a story of a shipwreck, a magical island, beasts, fairies, and magical creatures. Tweens will explore scenes and monologues from the original text, breaking down the meaning of words and finding the rhythm of iambic pentameter. Designed for ages 9-12. Science meets art in this exciting afterschool experience for ages 5-7! We will draw inspiration from the earth, growing gardens, and the natural elements. Get ready to get your hands messy as we mold clay sculptures, go on a nature walk to build a fairy house, and harness the sun to make rainbows! This class emphasizes the process of individual creativity and uses art to foster an appreciation of the natural world. (no class April 17)

Play theatre games and discover the joy of pretending in a group. In early spring, we are imagining our theatre as Sherwood forest and exploring the epic tales of the hero Robin Hood. The theatre troop will imagine themselves as Robin Hood’s merry men in classic follow-the-leader games style games and improvisations. Gain confidence onstage and make new friends. Designed for ages 5-7. Note: No reading is required for this drama class.
