MakerSpace Takeover: Bees & Bugs

  • The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine 250 Thompsons Point Rd Portland, ME, 04102 United States (map)

It's a BEE & BUG TAKEOVER in CMTM's MakerSpace! Did you know that there are over 1,000 bug species in Maine? To celebrate all things bee and bug, MakerSpace will offer projects that honor all buzzing, flying, crawling, and jumping bugs in our world. Projects include building a honeybee with recycled & reclaimed materials. Design your pollinator to be little or fluffy, fast or funny. And recreate a real bug or use your imagination to construct your own insect. What will you name it? How will it move? Free choice materials will also be available during each session. Included with Admission. MakerSpace is open 2 to 3 times per day. Upon arrival, check our daily specials on the chalkboard for a complete list of activities included with admission and MakerSpace times.
