World Ocean Day

  • The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine 250 Thompsons Point Rd Portland, ME, 04102 United States (map)

Celebrate World Ocean Day! The ocean is home to over a million species of plants and animals. It houses some of the smallest living things, like phytoplankton and algae, which produce much of the world's oxygen. It is also home to the biggest animal, the blue whale! Let's marvel at the ocean as we make a mini-tide pool habitat using touchable objects, explore the CMTM's tide pool tank, and make ocean-inspired art. Also, meet special guest, scientist Gretchen Grebe, at 10:30 am!

All World Ocean Day programs are included with admission.
