Come celebrate World Ocean Day! The ocean is home to over a million species of plants and animals. It houses some of the smallest living things, like phytoplankton and algae, which produce much of the world’s oxygen. It is also home to the biggest animal, the blue whale! Let’s marvel at the ocean as we make a mini-tide pool habitat using touchable objects, explore the Museum & Theatre’s tide pool tank, and identify ocean plant life with a sensory seaweed table. Also, don’t miss meeting our special guests:
City of Portland Water Resources 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Gretchen Grebe, Aquaculture Scientist 1:30 pm -2:15 pm
Included with Admission.
