Music! Food! Makers! CMTM hosts International Music Stage, part of Resurgam Music Festival

The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine is excited to host the International Music Stage as part of the Resurgam Music Festival! Resurgam is happening at Thompson’s Point on Sunday, June 12, from noon to 9pm. The International Music Stage is generously made possible by the Sam L. Cohen Foundation and Coffee by Design. Join us on our front Gather Lawn for a variety of drumming and percussion performances highlighting cultures and drumming traditions from around the world. These performances are free and open to the public! Performances on the International Music Stage are set to be a rhythmic good time, with artists Batimbo United, Bondeko, Namory Drummers, Mavy, The Burnurwurbskek Singers, and Taiko Drum Dojo. If it rains, a pared-down version of the International Stage acts will be hosted inside Maddy's Theatre.

Pay What You Can Museum Visits:

Thanks to generous support from the Sam L. Cohen foundation, all museum visits on Sunday, June 12 will be Pay What You Can, so anyone can visit the Museum & Theatre without financial barriers. Tickets must still be reserved in advance at www.kitetails.org/plan-your-visit. Visitors may reserve tickets by selecting the price option that works best for them when checking out.

Resurgam Music Festival:

The International Music Stage is just one of many music and art performances and activities around Thompson’s Point on June 12! Resurgam will feature six musical stages set up across the Point, with a diversity of music, lots of food trucks serving up delicious food (as well as the established eateries of Thompson’s Point), and a maker’s mall with local businesses and artists set up in Brick South! Plus don’t miss the opening parade at noon, which features: The Shoestring Theater, Gym Dandies, MAMM students, and more! For all the details please visit www.maineacademyofmodernmusic.org/resurgam.

Maine Academy for Modern Music:
