Museums for All Admission Reduced to $1
The Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine is thrilled to announce a reduction in Museums for All admission price from $3 to $1, beginning June 1, 2022. Museums for All is a national access program that offers reduced admission to anyone with EBT Benefits (formerly called food stamps). There are more than 850 participating museums across the United States and 10 in Maine. The program ensures that museum admission is not a barrier for families of all backgrounds and income levels, encouraging museum visits and building lifelong interest in cultural institutions. The program is made possible through the work of the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Association of Children’s Museums. The Museum & Theatre extends qualifications for Museums for All admission to anyone with MaineCare, WIC, SNAP, or other forms of public assistance. To use the Museums for All admission, please visit www.kitetails.org/plan-your-visit and select the date and time of your preferred museum visit. Use the “Discount: Pay at the Door” ticket types and enter the number of children and adults in your party. Proceed to checkout with no charge, and complete the reservation. You will receive an email with your tickets. On the day of your visit, bring your MaineCare, WIC, EBT, or other public assistance card with you and present it at check-in to the front desk. You will receive the Museum for All admission price and pay for the tickets at that time.
$1 Museums for All Admission aligns with the Museum & Theatre’s mission and continued commitment to eliminate barriers families might face in taking full advantage of our new facility.
