A membership to the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine is the perfect opportunity to give a year of new experiences to someone you love.

Until December 31, 2020, we are offering “early bird prices” for new memberships to the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine. Once our new facility opens at Thompson’s Point in 2021, we will roll out our new prices. This is a limited time offer!

Please note that if you purchase a membership after December 11th, we cannot guarantee that your membership card and welcome letter will make it to before the December 25th holiday. If you'd like something to arrive immediately, we suggest an e-gift certificate in the amount of a membership, which your recipient can use to purchase a membership at their leisure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When does the membership start?

The membership year for NEW Museum & Theatre members begins Spring 2021 when our new home at Thompson’s Point opens to the public. The exact date will be set by the actual date when we open to the public.

What if my grandchildren, family member, or friend already has a membership? 

We’re happy to look this up for you! Please contact Lily@kitetails.org or call 207-828-1234 x 231. We are also happy to add the membership credit you purchase onto a membership that’s already active. This simply gives the family an extra year of play! 

What will I need to purchase a gift membership? 

You’ll need your recipient's name and contact information, phone, email, country, and address. If you’d like us to send the membership card directly to your recipient, we’ll need their address. We can also mail it to you for you to gift. 

Where will the membership card go?

You can choose to either deliver the membership card to yourself so you can hand-deliver it, or have us mail it directly to the recipient.

Will you gift wrap it for me?

Let us know in your gift message and we'll happily wrap your membership card in a holiday or birthday card for direct delivery to the gift recipient.

What if I’m not sure if a membership is right for my friend or loved one? 

We also have gift certificates that can be purchased in any amount. These can be redeemed for part or all of membership, theatre tickets, summer camps, birthday parties, and more. 

The membership form is frustrating, can I talk to a real human? 

Yes, please call the Front Desk at 207-828-1234 and leave a message. We’ll return your call as soon as possible.

What does a family membership include?

  • The membership fee is a tax-deductible donation that supports healthy play and exploration in your community!

  • Free general admission for one year to our NEW home at Thompson’s Point with NEW timed-ticketing system

  • 10% discount on ticketed events and performances 

  • Special hours for members 

  • Invitations to private new exhibit openings

  • A weekly member email compiling all programming, events, and exclusive member updates from the Museum & Theatre
