We're Hiring! Part-Time Visitor Services Associate

We’re Hiring! Visitor Program Associate (PT)

Help set the stage for every child to imagine and learn through play as a Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine (CMTM) Visitor Program Associate!

POSITION PURPOSE

The Visitor Program Associate leads, supports, and assists in the development of programs for CMTM visitors and works with the Visitor Engagement Team, Exhibits and  Education Teams, and Theatre Team to create fun and engaging program events using social-emotional learning (SEL) as the foundation.

Learning through play and inquiry are the building blocks for all programming at CMTM.

CMTM’s learning-through-play priority is SEL. Play is a learning process of developing inquiry, self-awareness, empathy, and social skills that foster connection to oneself, others, and the natural world. Experiential play centers the child’s perspective; trusting children to explore, experiment, and learn at their own pace empowers them to become active participants in their own development, fostering self-efficacy and autonomy. Through play, people come together in moments of joy, exploration, and imagination.
