Halloween at Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine a Not-So-Scary Affair

Thanks to generous support from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation, the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine (CMTM) will present a Not-So-Scary Halloween celebration on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 10 am to 1 pm designed for toddlers and their caregivers. The event is part of a calendar of family-friendly events and a new 21+ After Dark series intended to provide a broad range of programming and access to the Museum & Theatre.

Puppets in Portland: Krystal Puppeteers of Kenya perform Tears by the Rivers at Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine

The Krystal Puppeteers of Kenya will perform “Tears By The River” at 11: 00 AM on September 24 and 25 at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine. The Krystal Puppeteers will additionally offer dance and music workshops at 2: 00 PM each day that consists of hands-on music and dance lessons and the opportunity to interact with the puppets used in Krystal Puppeteers' performance.

Artist in Residency Series: Palaver Strings

Portland-based Palaver Strings, a musician-led string ensemble, will perform and engage visitors at “pop-up studios” beginning this September at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine.
