Get ready for the great DINO Egg Hunt!

A Mama Dinosaur left her eggs throughout the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, and we need help collecting them! 

Search for colorful dino eggs, and try your luck at the golden dino egg challenge. Stop by MakerSpace to create a dinosaur-themed craft, explore fossils, and have a tasty snack to finish out the celebration.

All dino egg hunters will receive a special bag DINO-TASTIC tote bag provided by presenting sponsor Gorham Savings Bank for their eggs and prizes. Please leave bags, buckets, or baskets at home. 

This special event is part of our membership program “block out” dates, so all visitors (including members) must purchase tickets for the egg hunt.

Play Your Way is a monthly playtime for anyone who would benefit from a quieter, low-key play session at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine (CMTM), designed for families affected by Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or other challenges. Play Your Way offers families the opportunity to explore the Museum & Theatre, meet other families with similar experiences, and see if CMTM is the right fit for you and your family. Visitors to Play Your Way can expect a less crowded environment, modifications to age-restricted areas, and a welcoming space with supportive CMTM staff.

Hoot & Howl Halloween Event at the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine

In an effort to serve our community during an incredibly challenging week, we are adding a warm and indoor Halloween event on Tuesday, October 31st from 4 pm - 6 pm.

Join us for indoor trick-or-treating, open-ended Halloween crafts, and free play in CMTM’s three floors of exhibits. Costumes encouraged but not required!

This event is Pay What You Can. Reservations are highly recommended to guarantee admission. Tickets include museum admission, trick-or-treat stations, a take-home craft, a small snack, and trick or treat tote bag.

Each Monday, CMTM opens to members from 10 am-1 pm. This week, the celebration will take place from 10 am - 12 pm. Members are welcome to stay and play from 12 - 1 pm.

We ask that you arrive and leave as close to your time selection as possible. All parties must include at least one child and one adult. Reservations for all visitors are strongly recommended to guarantee entry.

General admission is $16/person for everyone 18 months or over (babies 17 months or younger are always free). Infants younger than 9 months do not need to reserve a ticket. 

Online ticket sales end 1 hour after the start of the play session, or when the session sells out.

By reserving tickets, you are agreeing to follow our health & safety guidelines and our rules of admission.
